Terms of Service

Last updated:

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mergestorm. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. This is a general template for an MVP and is not legal advice.

Acceptance

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Mergestorm. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

What Mergestorm is for

Mergestorm helps software teams automate pull request reviews on GitHub. You connect a GitHub App, enable repositories, and receive AI-generated review feedback, inline comments, and check runs. The service assists your review process — it does not replace human judgment, security audits, or compliance obligations.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users, upload unlawful content, or use Mergestorm in a way that violates applicable law or GitHub's terms. You are responsible for the repositories you connect and the code reviewed through the service. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or puts the service at risk.

Billing and the free tier

The free tier and paid plans are described on our pricing and billing pages. Usage limits reset monthly in UTC unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay or exceeding plan limits may restrict new reviews until you upgrade or a new billing period begins.

Disclaimers

Mergestorm is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI-generated review comments may be incomplete or incorrect — verify findings before merging code.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mergestorm and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.

Changes

We may modify or discontinue features with or without notice. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different jurisdiction applies by mandatory law.
